Apple Harvest Project

Ilford Community Apple Harvest 2026

Want to join our pilot project - Apple harvest 2026?

We are planning to do a garden fruit tree audit this year to save apples that often go to waste.

The good ones can go to the Community Grocer and Food Banks; the damaged ones will be made into chutneys etcetera.

We are looking for 5-8 people to join the team to pilot the idea. Get in touch if you’re interested!

Wanstead Climate Action

OUR TREES
Monday 19 January. 19.30

WCA welcomes Peter Marshall, LB Redbridge Chief Arboriculturalist, to speak at their first event of 2026.

Trees could be a metaphor for the climate and nature emergency. How are they chosen to cope with changing conditions? Why do so many die? What can we do to help nurture them?

Just some of the questions for discussion with Peter.

Wanstead House Community Centre, 21 The Green, E11 2NT. Socialise from 19.00.

Moss Cement

Moss Cement is turning our buildings green and bringing cities back to nature.

Moss cement consists of recycled cement & moss spores, creating this breathtaking building work that’s good for the planet and our wallets!

Yes please!
