Simple Energy Saving Top Tips!
• Switch to a shower and limit time spent in it
• Wash clothes at lower temperature/eco setting and use full loads
• Switch to LEDs
• Avoid drying of clothes on radiators to reduce chances of damp/mould
• Don’t use standby mode, turn off plug switches
• Don’t overfill your kettle and put lids on saucepans
• Switch off lights in empty rooms
• Turn boiler flow temperature down to 60°C

• More efficient use of heating, use your thermostat and timer
• Move furniture away from radiators
• Use your thermostatic radiator valves(TRV’s) to set temperatures for each room (If you have them!)
• Insulate your loft and cavity walls (if you have a loft or cavity walls)
• Reduce draughts through your front door with draught excluder tape etc.
• Reduce draughts through your windows (eg with thick curtains, draught excluder tape, plastic film double glazing kit)
• Lag your hot water pipes
• Add an extra layer of clothing to keep warm
